KNOWN EFFECTS

Stimulates brain and spinal cord through synapses. Interferes with absorption of iron and other minerals when taken internally.

Miscellaneous information:
Can be habit forming. Addicts become talkative then depressed and apathetic.

UNPROVED SPECULATED BENEFITS

Leaves chewed or steeped to make tea to treat fatigue. Suppresses appetite.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS

Don't take if you:
Are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or plan pregnancy in the near future. Have heart trouble. Have high blood pressure.

Take this herb for any medical problem that doesn't improve in 2 weeks. There may be safer, more-effective treatments. Paralysis Seek emergency treatment.
Stomach irritation, with bleeding Discontinue. Call doctor immediately.
