    USES

    Treatment of bronchial asthma, bronchitis and emphysema.

    DOSAGE & USAGE INFORMATION

    How to take:

  • Tablet--Swallow with liquid or food to lessen stomach irritation.
  • Aerosol--Use according to package instructions. When to take: At the same times each day. If you forget a dose: Take as soon as you remember up to 2 hours late. If more than 2 hours, wait for next scheduled dose (don't double this dose). What drug does: Dilates constricted bronchial tubes.

    Time lapse before drug works:
    30 minutes.
    Don't take with:
    Any other medicines, even over-the-counter drugs such as cough
    and cold medicines, nose drops, diet pills, laxatives or
    caffeine, without consulting your doctor.
    OVERDOSE
    SYMPTOMS:
    Rapid heartbeat, chest pain, tremors.
    WHAT TO DO:

  • Dial 0 (operator) or 911 (emergency) for an ambulance or medical help. Then give first aid immediately.
  • If the child is unconscious and not breathing, give mouth-to- mouth breathing. If there is no heartbeat, use cardiac massage and mouth-to-mouth breathing (CPR). Don't try to make the child vomit. If you can't get help quickly, take the child to nearest emergency facility.

    SYMPTOMS WHAT TO DO

    Life-threatening:
    None expected.
    Common:
    Headache, nervous- Continue. Call doctor
    ness, restlessness, when convenient.
    trembling.
    Infrequent:

  • Drowsiness, nausea, Discontinue. Call vomiting, fast or doctor right away. pounding heartbeat, cramps, weakness.
  • Unusual sweating. Continue. Call doctor when convenient. Rare: None expected.

    WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS

    Don't take if:
    You are allergic to any sympathomimetic.

    Before you start, consult your doctor:

  • If you have diabetes.
  • If you have heart disease or high blood pressure.
  • If you have overactive thyroid.
  • If you have had seizures.
  • If you take non-prescription amphetamines or other asthma medicines. Pregnancy: No proven harm to unborn child. Avoid if possible. May prolong labor and delivery. Infants & children: Use only under medical supervision. Prolonged use: No age-related problems expected. Skin & sunlight: No age-related problems expected.

    Driving or hazardous activities:
    Avoid if you feel drowsy. Otherwise, no problems expected.
    Discontinuing:
    May be unnecessary to finish medicine. Follow doctor's
    instructions.
    Others:
    If troubled breathing does not improve or worsens after using
    medicine, don't increase dose. Consult doctor.
