Adding Antidepressants to Mood Stabilizer Therapy Does Not Improve Outcomes in Bipolar Depression




In a trial of patients with bipolar depression who were receiving mood stabilizers, adjunctive antidepressant therapy did not reduce symptoms of depression, nor did it increase the risk for mania. (CME)
